Outlook crashes on "reply to" if Word is used as email editor

When I try to reply to any email with Word selected as my email editor - Outlook crashes and the messege "Form requires Word as your email editor, but Word is either busy or cannot be found. The form will be opened in the Outlook editor instead" appears (sometimes). Other times, Outlook crashes and has to be exited via the taskmanager. I've already tried the fixes suggested via
