Outlook crashes only when working offline

Andy Mohan

I have a client who is running Outlook 97 on Windows NT4 sp6a.

whenever they run outlook and choose Work Offline, then get a DR WATSON
error......

An Application error has occurred and an application log is being generated
Outlook.exe
Exception: Access Violation (0x0000005), Address 0x7800271a

He has a personal folders file, and outlook.ost file on his local hard
drive, McAffee Virus Scan... I have re-created his user profile, re-created
his outlook profile, and have even re-imaged his machine...

Any help would be appreciated

Is mcafee scanning email? If so, disable it.

You might also want to go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook and rename all of the files to see if it helps.
