We have been using custom outlook forms published to public folders on a
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 for years. I have been creating and
publishing the forms with Outlook 2003.
Recently we have had random users unable to open these forms. They receive
the error "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error..." If the
error occurs on one form they open, it then occurs on all forms they try and
open from the public folders.
We have tried the following with no results:
Deleting the form cache
Deleting their Outlook profile
Republishing the form
Republishing the form with a new version number
Published the form in both 2003 and 2007
Copied the form from the organizational library to their personal library
Users are not working in cached mode. All users that have called are
working in Office 2003.
For some users it randomly begins to work again.
We are at a loss as to what to try next. Any ideas? Thanks!
