Outlook Data Files

A co-worker and I both have "Work" email addresses as well as personal email
address'. For obvious reasons you dont want jokes or other personal emails to
go to your work account, for nothing less than it just doesnt look
proffessional.

I set my outlook 2003 on my work machine to check my personal email as well
as my work account by using profiles. When i created my profile i put a
password on the profile, no one can access my account without the password.
When i tried to do this same thing on my co-worker's machine, when i clicked
Data Files none showed up like they did on my profile. I thought that the
files may be hidden so i went to the folder containing them and they were not
hidden. I then went back and just created one for his profile along with a
password. When i log into my profile i am prompted for my password, his does
not. so now anyone who would like to read his email can just click the
outlook icon and his email will automatically begin to download. I am
wondering what i did wrong. or do i need to delete his profile, then add the
data file before i even set up the first account. Please advise

You cannot password-protect a mail profile. You can, however,
password-protect a PST.

Clearly, then, your co-worker is using an Exchange account and doesn't need
a PST.

mail profile because they can't control the content on the server and cannot
protect against malware at the server level.

We are using an exchange for our Work mail, but on the personal accounts
its Pop3
accounts. the outlook just checks them both.

You didn't describe what I requested.
