Outlook delivering all messages again and again

Hi!

I'm experiencing some extremely strange things with my Outlook. Every time
that Outlook checks for new messages, it re-delivers the same messages again
and again. It seems to only happen with messsages that come through in the
previous 24 hours or so, then it stops and moves on to the more recent
messages.

I have read through this forum and seen a similar thread where somebody
suggested rebooting outlook. I switch my computer off every evening so I
don't think this is the problem. The other suggestion was to reset the time
Outlook leaves between checking messages to over 8 minutes. I have now set
it to 10 minutes and it is still happening.

This problem started a few days ago when I submitted a call for CVs to a
jobs website, and received a large volume of mail in the space of a couple of
hours. Maybe this is what set it off.

On my webmail there is no record of these emails coming through at all.

Hope you hear from you.

When a send/receive doesn't closes properly Outlook will try to download
those messages again at next send/receive interval. Reasons for not closing
a send/receive interval could vary depending on your configuration but in
the most cases it is being caused by a misconfigured firewall or a virus
scanner that does a poor job at integrating with Outlook.
