Outlook desktop icon gone

Dave

After performing installation of Office 2003 pro, ontop
of Office XP pro (not doing an Upgrade install, but a
Custom, and not uninstalling anything manually before) it
ditched my Outlook icon from the desktop.

Obviously dont want to put just a shortcut in its place -
any ideas on how to restore this? I saw a registry hack:
And today's Outlook 11 tip is....

You'll notice the Outlook desktop icon disappears when
you install
Outlook 11 (by design, of course). If you want to bring
it back, use
the following registry hack. Mind you, it does cause a
few Explorer
problems if you try to right-click the icon....

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\De
sktop\NameSpace]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\De
sktop\NameSpace\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}]

But apparently its not very stable. I did NOT just pay
all this money for unstable software. Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks,
Dave
