We are using Windows Vista Business with Microsoft Office 2007. There is one
PC at a remote warehouse that does not have access to our corporate network,
but uses a dial-up connection to check email and browse the web.
My problem centers around Outlook 2007 and its dial up connection. Whenever
it does a background send/receive, it automatically disconnects. I've looked
at all the settings in Outlook and have not been able to get it stay
connected. There is a setting in Tools/Options/ on the mail setup tab; that
is a check box that says "Hang up when finished with a manual Send/Receive".
I've unchecked that box, but I can't get the background send/receive task to
leave the connection open.
If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful !!!
