Outlook display has changed in unwanted way

My Outlook 2003 SP1 is laid out to only show me email, and I keep the
left-hand pane strictly dedicated to showing me the mail folders.

I recently tried to find items lost by my Agendus for Windows (Palm
companion) program that I thought I might find in the Outlook calendar (don't
ask -- Agendus tech support is braindead and I stupidly followed their advice
to no avail). After bringing up the Outlook calendar view and then getting
rid of it again to back to how I used to be, I ended up with a new section at
the top of the left pane that I do not want
[http://www.silver100.com/x/misc/Outlookunwantedpane111305.gif] and I can't
seem to figure out how to get rid of it.

It's called "Favorite Folders." How do I get rid of it? I only want the "All
Mail Folders" section.

P.S. The reason this matters to me is that I run a business and have a lot
of folders that I need to see, which take up the whole vertical height of the
screen. They don't show in the screen shot I provided simply because I
collapsed them for the screen shot.

Thanks!

Jay

Got it figured out.

(When all else fails, try Help! Duh!)

Seems the Favorite Folders pane can't be removed, but the folders in it can,
thus collapsing the pane as much as possible.

Indeed. Your first post was not compatible with reality. Favorite Folders
could not have been a "new section." Perhaps you just hadn't noticed it
before.

you were probably in folder list view before - you can "hide" favorite
folders by pressing Ctrl+6.

The Favorite Folders section of the All Mail Folders screen cannot be
deleted. You can delete all of the folders it contains, but the
section, itself, will remain on-screen.
