Outlook distribution look

I have outlook 2007 and vista home premium. I create a dist. list and send a
message using it. No problem. Come back an hour later, try and send another
to the same list and the mail hangs in the outbox. Happens all the time with
pretty much every distribution list I've created.
It is not the ISP as I can copy and paste all of the names on the list into
a mail message and it works. I've deleted the lists and recreated them. This
sometimes creates a temporary fix. But, sooner or later, distribution lists
just hang in outbox. This has nothing to do with file size, smtp server
connection times, time outs or the like so please don't suggest those as
fixes. This is an outlook problem.

Distribution Lists are renowned for their flakiness.
Use Categories instead.
