Outlook: Do not archiving unread items

A

Antonio Diaz

Every new Outlook release or service pack, my boss ask me if there is some
way to not archiving unread items. There is no option, so he becomes
frustrated and I must pay for this (as if I were one of your programmers)...

Please, please, can you add some option to not archiving unread items in
Outlook?

I know there are some commercial software able to do this, but my boss don't
want hear nothing about a solution from third-party. He's now convinced that
Outlook should have some option that I'm unable to find...

Regards

I can see the validity of his request but just curious; if he hasn't done
anything with the unread item within the period he has said to AutoArchive,
would he really get back to the item later then?

Set archiving to clean out items more than 6 months old. If your boss has
unread email more than six months old then he needs to be fired......

Roady: It seems that yes. He's the company CEO and owner, so he don't need to
give any explanation about the way he do his job.

Gordon: As I said, my boss is the CEO, so firing him is not an option :)
