Outlook does not recognized color catagories with New mail

Jessica

I just started using Outlook 2007 after 11 yrs. with Eudora. I've been color
coding my incoming mail with the Catagories I created, however Outlook fails
to remember
the catagory when new mail from the same person comes in. I don't want to
code every piece of mail, I just want it to recognize what has been coded in
the past and code it as it comes it. Please advise -- what am I'm doing
wrong?

To tell you what you are doing wrong, you'll have to first tell us what you
are doing. We don't know what you are doing to colour the emails. Explain
your method and your aim.

I am having the same type of problem, my question is, is there a way to
assign a category to an e-mail based on your contacts folder. For example
if one of my contacts that is assigned to the "suppliers" category, when I
receive an e-mail from a supplier the message will be assigned the
"supplier" category and moved to that specific folder.

Scott, the next version of Category Manager will support that. You might
visit my website from time to time or contact me directly.
