Outlook does not "Send/Receive" upon entering

Currently I can only receive my incoming mail by clicking the
"Send/Receive" button. I can live with this, but was curious why that
task does not execute when I open Outlook (which it has done on all
other computers I have used). I checked the "Send/Receive::Settings"
and there does not appear to be anything that enables this feature in
there. I had just assumed it was a default setting. Any tips here would
be greatly appreciated!

There are two mail settings under Options
1) Send/Receive on starting OL
2) Poll for new mail every ** minutes (set it to 10)

Its also the case that an antivirus application intergrated with OL can
cause problems
BTW It helps if you give your version of OL

Not this one. There's one for performing a send/receive upon exit, not
startup.

2) Poll for new mail every ** minutes (set it to 10)

This is what causes POutlook to perform a send/receive when you start it.
