Im using outlook 2003, configured with two accounts--one for exchange and one
for POP3. When I close up for the day I go to File-->Exit and it appears that
outlook is closed, but in reality it is still running in the background (If I
Ctrl-Alt-Delete it shows outlook.exe).
If I close my laptop and come back to it later, the outlook cant connect
dialog box is up and I have to restart my PC otherwise the connection to the
mail server is flaky. If I force quit from ctrl-alt-delete every time I exit
outlook, the next time I start up it wants to check the pst file for errors
which takes forever. Is there any way to completely exit from outlook when
closing it so its not running in the background? Don't want to have to shut
off the computer and restart it every time.
Thanks!
