outlook doesnt follow url in message

I get a message with embedded URl's, all are underlined blue & happy.
Pointer turns to hand, but press on link & nothing happens! Used to follow
link, then I installed service pack - don't know if that was the problem.
Message in Ooutlook 2003, URL works if copied & pasted in browser.

Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Did you by any chance also install Google Desktop Search? If so that
may be the problem. If not, you could try and restore you system to a
point in time previous to your install of the service pack.

There would be a new toolbar on the right side of the screen,
something you would certainly notice. The problem (and solution)
likely lies elsewhere. Hopefully someone will provide a suggestion.
