Outlook, on opening, says it is migrating, fails at that and asks me
to verify my logon. It thinks it should log onto an exchange server
(this is a stand-alone laptop). When I cancel that box it says it
can't find my profile files and quits. This was never connected to
exchange but maybe the user tried their own setup and started to make
an exchange connection? This is 2007 on Vista. I hunted for all outlook
folders or files in the user area hoping to wipe out the equivalent of
a pst file or such. That didn't help. I uninstalled and re-installed
and it STILL does it.
It occurred to me later maybe it was an upgrade from Outlook 2003 but
I don't know what good that info is if true. I still need to get it
out of this loop.
Also, the intention is to set this thing to fetch an msn account. I
found some info on msn that says I can treat this like a pop account
using pop3.live.com (port 995) and smtp.live.com SPA and SSL settings.
Is this true or do I have to use some outlook connection program or
other?
Thanks
