Outlook Domain Name Conversion

Every time Outlook 2007 sees a character string that looks like an e-mail
address or domain name reference it converts it to a link.

(e-mail address removed) is converted
www.somewhere.com is converted

Is there a way to turn off this unwanted behavior? (An undocumented
Registry entry perhaps?)

I would start with Word's Autocorrect entries.

With your hint I found the option in two places in the NOPN (New Office
Parameter Maze) ... one in Word ... one in Outlook.

Finding the options is a slight challenge.

The accursed conversions of outgoing and incoming e-mail has now stopped.

Thank you for the help.

(I tell my clients to NEVER click on a link in an e-mail message and at the
same time Outlook was adding links to my messages.)

I have found where the is in most of the Office products and turned it off.

If I have a string in an Outlook signature that looks lie a URL then it is
converted to a link.

I currently use something like [www.domain.com] to defeat it and I change
the [ and ] to white on white.

Is there a way to turn that off also?

(My business is heavily oriented towards the Internet and URLs. This
conversion to links are a constant annoyance.)
