I have a rule that says....
Check mail when it arrives, with (specific words) in the Sublect, delete it,
and mark it read. This is the way Outlooks rule tool forces the rule
The problem is since the msg is marked "read" after delete (actual move to
delete folder) the envelope icon (unread mail notification) is still in the
Taskbar Tray.
I tested a rule that just marked the msg as read, did NOT delete it nor move
to deleted folder, and the envelope icon does not appear.
What needs to be done is change the order for the rule to: Check mail when
it arrives, with (specific words) in the Sublect, mark it read, and delete it.
Is there a way to manually change a rule phrasing?
An asside; why does MS make such things so difficult, other email programs
have much better filter (and filiter editing) scripts?
