Outlook editor auto correct entries disappear

Using Outlook 2007 on stand alone laptop with XP Pro all latest updates...

WORD auto correct works fine.

Outlook has a different set of auto correct entries for use with the email
editor, and when you enter them in, at some point in the future they simply
disappear from the list of auto correct entries. There is no pattern that I
can see, but it happens very often and is a royal pane. I have done the
usual stuff, like run repair, but it does not correct the problem.

I think it is poor programming to have office use two different sets of auto
correct entries...but I only care about getting it to work for outlook email
editor.

Any ideas?
