Outlook emails so slow

Vista Business / Outlook 2007 /Core 2 Duo / 3gb RAM

Outlook takes forever to open new emails. Ran a scan pst check with no
difference.

ooking in tskmgr i observed 20+ instances of taskeng. I track this down to
acronis running on this vista pc. I truned this off in startup / config and
seems to have resolved the issue.
