Outlook emoticons

To all,

Anyone have any ideas why Outlook 2007 defaults to the basic text
emoticon when typing :)? When another member of our staff does the
same thing she gets the msn messenger emoticon graphic instead of the
text version. We both use office 2007. Any ideas how to change the
mail editor to use the graphical version of the emoticon vs the text
based version?

Thanks,
Carl.

outlook doesn't do anything like this- your coworker has something
installed that does it.

So I would see it in the message that she sends to me? Is it possible
the installing the new msn messenger would have an effect on her word/
outlook settings? She has stated she hasn't installed anything that
would do this and the emoticons are identical to the msn emoticons.
It's very strange. She is the only one with this behaviour but any
message we get from her has the graphical emoticons. It's not really
an issues so to speak, we just can't figure out why!
