Outlook Error Message - MSO.DLL Error

T

I work in IT support for a large company and have seen a recurring erro
on one Outlook client PC that is driving me nuts :) A user is gettin
this error once or twice per day when using Outlook 2007 SP2 full
patched running in cached exchange mode:

Error in event viewer:
Event ID 1000
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6514.5000, stam
4a89dc70, faulting module mso.dll, version 12.0.6425.1000, stam
49d65443, debug? 0, fault address 0x00005ae0.

So, far, I've tried:

New .OST file
New Outlook Profile
New Local Windows profile
Reinstalled Office 2007
Problem can be recreated with Office 2007 (seen in both in SP1 an
SP2)
Ran ScanPST.exe on all PST Files

Renamed C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Applicatio
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat
Renamed C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Applicatio
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat .old

Removed .PST files from Outlook (problem persisted)
Tried a new PC – same problem
Happened in Citrix, as well
Moved her mailbox to a new database in Exchange
Removed all addins in Outlook
Removed all items in startup from MS Config except virus scanning

Enabled Logging in Outlook – no clues in the logs

I'm running out of options ... does anyone have any suggestions t
solve this issue? Thanks for the help

We have been having a similar issue in our company. We get this same error
in the event log on certain of our computers when attempting to print from
Outlook 2007. Outllook closes and the message does not print. This has
been occuring randomly since the October Security patches were installed.
We had two security patches that were specific to Outlook - KB974234 and
KB972363. Kb972363 seems to be the one that is giving us problems. If we
remove it on systems having this problem, this issue goes away. We're
hoping for another solution, but for now, removing the patch works.
