Outlook Error R6025

When I open Outlook 2002 on XP and the inbox folder I
receive Error 6025. When the error box is closed,
Outlook immediately shuts down. I have already performed
Method 1 of Article 307590 with no success. MEthod 2
does not seem applicable as I am not running small
business. Any ideas????

I'm not quite sure why you used article 307590. It did not
sound quite like it matched your problem...

The article below sounds a little closer, still not quite a match
unless you still use OFFICE 2000 and maybe use WORD
as your email editor.

After checking a little further you may want to see if
any of these are a closer match to your problem. If you had
included the entire error message that you are getting it
would have been easier to narrow this down a bit:

The complete error message is:
Microsoft Visual C++ - Runtime Library
Program C:\program~1\micro~2\office10\outlook.exe
Error R6025

It only happens with the inbox function of Outlook. I do
use Word as my Outlook editor. I still have not found a
fix.

I am having the exact same error, but only on one machine. The error occurs only when you open Outlook 2002 and try to access the inbox folder. HELP.

I have this same problem with a customer's laptop. I have uninstalled
Norton, uninstalled Office 2002, and uninstalled MS Money. This
includes pulling information out of the registry as well (any
references to these items).

Then I reinstalled Norton, disabled the office plugin, set that up.

Then I installed Office 2002 and set that up.

Sure enough, outlook does the same darn thing, everytime I go to the
Inbox, anywhere else is ok, I get the runtime error.

I disabled any add-ins in Outlook (via registry) and anything I could
think of that was remotely related to this error (that I have seen
online) I have done to this machine. In fact, last night I moved the
customer to Outlook Express until I could find a fix and last night
the error popped up under Outlook Express.

It occurs when the customer is online or when the customer is offline.
Behavior is seen to occur first when customer gets online, but then
persists after customer disconnects.

I am reformatting and reinstalling the customer's software, but what
bothers me is all this work will be for none when the issue arises
again, because I am sure that it will.

Someone,anyone, please help!

A client of mine just encountered a similar problem and I was able to find an MS article # 307590 that may help. I have to still try so I don't know if it works but maybe it will help someone.

Well, here's an update:

After I reinstalled the client's OS as well as software and got her
online and functioning, the next day she called me again saying the
Runtime error occurred again.

I almost stabbed my eyes out.

However, I promised to be over that evening and told her it might
possibly be related to an email she is receiving, not that there is
anything nefarious, but I noticed in her inbox she had emails from
this one person who liked to use html format with pretty stationary.

She called me later, to say she thinks she fixed the problem. When she
was reinstalled, Earthlink Total Access was installed, which has some
Internet browsing accelerator software included with it. After she put
in her correct username/password, the error went away.

The weird thing is, before she was using plain vanilla dialup
networking to connect to earthlink and the error still occurred so I
have no idea if there is any correlation but I thought it was
noteworthy considering I have been researching this for a few weeks
now with no answer in the midst.

That KB article didn't help my situation one bit, in fact nothing I
did (which normally works) helped except the old wipe and clean
install.

Anyway, said client is purchasing a Mac in a month and selling her x86
laptop due to the frustration she encountered from this error. I
suppose that is a fix ;-) albeit more expensive.
