I am running Windows XP on a year old Dell system,
running Microsoft Office XP with Outlook. When connected
via a dial up connection, using Outlook. The system will
function as normal for 3 minutes or so, sending and
receiving fine, then I get the following message:
The system is shutting down. Please save all work in
progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM.
Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure
Call (RPC) Service terminated unexpectedly.
The system then proceeds to shut down with a 60 second
timer, logs off and shuts down, then restarts.
Once the system restarts, the dial up system will not
connect, a fresh restart must be manually completed
before the system will function normally again.
If not in Outlook, the system will stay connected and
function online as normal.
HELP!
Thanks!
