Outlook error..unable to display the folder..MAPI unable to load p

I have been using my Dell Axim for over a month with a new HP desktop just
fine..until I installed Streets and Trips 2004 and it overwrote the Outlook
2002 that came with the Dell with Outlook 2003. Now I get the registry error
every time Outlook opens or I try to sync the Pocket PC. I removed all the
Outlook, Activesync, Streets and Trips programs I could find with Control
Panel. I then re-installed the Outlook and Active sync that worked from the
PDA software CD. I still get the registry error, and can't sync. I tried
the regedit ideas from the Knowledge Base and did what I thought was right (
although the article does not actually tell how to do it with Windows XP,
which I am using) after again removing all the programs. It still gives me
the same error message after re-installation.
The error message is --Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook
could not access the specified folder location. An unexpected error has
occurred. MAPI wa unable to load the information service pstprx.dll. Be
sure the service is corretly installed and configured.

Any ideas....other than the total restore, wipe the drive and start all over?

It sounds like the Personal Folder service is broken. First, try locating
the file pstprx32.dll, renaming it to pstprx32.old and running Detect and
Repair from Outlook's Help (or from Control Panel>Add and Remove
Programs>Microsoft Outlook). If that doesn't work, try creating a new mail
profile and pointing it at your existing PST.
