Outlook error upon trying to open

I am getting the following error:

The extension "OutlookSync" has been disabled. MAPI32.DLL is missing. This
could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please
reinstall Outlook.

The operation failed.

I get both of those messages and it closes. I have not installed any
messaging software.
