Yesterday I updated my MS Office 2000 with the Microsoft Office XP
Professional. All applications function correctly, including Outlook
Express, except MS Outlook. Listed below is the warning message which I
received when I tried to launch the Outlook application:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The .DLL file for the
information service could not be found. MAPI was unable to load the
information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed
and configured."
1. I uninstalled MS Office XP Professional three times and removed MS Office
three times.
2. I rebooted MS Office 2000 and checked the functionality of Outlook, it
functioned correctly.
3. I loaded the MS Office XP update and received the message above each
time.
4. I should note that I went to the MSN Office web site and down loaded all
updates and security patches for MS Office 2000, Outlook performed fine.
5, I then loaded the Office XP update, all patches and updates from the MSN
Office web site, the Outlook application failed.
Has anyone else had this issue and resolved the error.
Thanks for the assistance.
