A colleague showed me something in her Outlook that is bugging her: when she
clicks on an email that carries an attachment, it lags a few moments before
it displays. This seems normal to me: it is downloading the content. But if
she clicks to another email (say another with an attachment), and then clicks
back and forth between the two, she gets a lag each time she selects emails
that she has already read. I found this to be odd…in my Outlook, I only get
the lag once as it downloads the attachment. Hers seems to do it every time
she selects the email.
I though this might be a setting, ie, hers is set not to download the
messages or attachments unless some condition is met (which isn’t being met).
I looked at the settings but couldn’t find anything likely.
We are running Office 2003 with exchange. As far as I know, the content
downloads to the users machine from the exchange server...
Does anyone have any idea about why this is happening?
Many thanks.
