I have the same problem & I am looking for a solution.

The only solution is to download and install one of the free spell checkers
that are available.

Google for Outlook Express Spell Check

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007.
Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this.

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

Vampirefo Spell Check.

From Major Geeks:

From SnapFile:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/spelloe.html

TinySpell:
http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type).
