Outlook Express 6 and Anti-Virus

Installed Dr. Solomans VirusScan V4.5.0 on pc with xp and
all emails in all folders in Outlook Express v6 are gone.
The antivirus (an old, no longer supported version)
installed and ran with no problems and no need to us XP
program compatability function. Have uninstalled but to no
avail. Please help!
