Outlook Express 6 - folder can not be displayed

Folder can not be displayed - low disk space or low memory.
I have recently created a new identity as it was suggested my old files may
have been too full but I am still receiving the error message on new almost
empty folders.
Mircrosoft reckon McAfee virus scan affects the .dbx folders but I don't
have McAfee installed. I have other detection progs though - spybot, Adaware,
NoAdware.
