Okay, question, I have searched the microsoft website and am not finding
anything on how to fix this.
Outlook express 6 was doing a compaction on my inbox when my computer died.
Now of course, I have no messages in my inbox from 11/22/04 through 1/19/05.
I see all kinds of things about using the inbox repair tool, scanpst for
outlook, however that program is not on my pc (windows xp with outlook
express 6).
so, exactly how does microsoft propose that I fix the error with his
software and get the email in my inbox back? sorry, I don't mean to be a
smart-a**, but it ought to do a backup before it does compaction, and it
should not corrupt your inbox, at the very least there ought to be a restore
program.
Thank you for any insight.
