Outlook Express Address Book Error

I just recently had to update my computer and installed IE7 and had to
replace the Outlook Express as well. I had backed up my Express mail and
addresses before doing this.
Now I cannot seem to import my OE addresses. I was able to import my backed
up email messages but not the addresses. I have tried to follow all the
instructions given and still cannot get it to load. When I click on File
Import Address Book nothing happens. I do not get any options. I even
created a new comma delimeted file to try to use it under the Other Address
option and it does not work either.

One of the problems may be that before the Geek Squad rebuild my machine the
previous addres file was in a folder "Compaq Owner"

In looking at the files in the Outlook Express folder I do not see any with
an extension of .wab there is a backup file of the old Compaq_owner .wab
with the tilde after the .wab.

Can you please help me with this I am sure it is something simple.

I tried newsgroup and could not respond in there because it was linked to OE.
I did back up the messages and address book before doing all this.

One thing that might be causing this is that I installed Office 2000 and
Outlook before doing the OE.
I then deleted Outlook and installed OE.
Is there something else that I might have missed?

It's still an OE problem. If you can't use a newsreader (it doesn't have to
be Outlook Express), you can use the web interface.
