outlook express and IE7

I've started having some hang-up problems with IE7. Microsoft recommends
installing IE7. When I did that the last time I had a number of problems
with Outlook Express so I re-installed IE6. Has IE7 corrected the problems
that it causes for Outlook Express?

The reason I asked here is that Mocrosoft Outlook is getting its contacts from Outlook Express. So, 1) if I delete all contacts and all emails within Microsoft Outlook Express. And 2) I then close and reload Microsoft Outlook, it re-imports all of the contacts from Outlook Express. See? So something must be telling Outlook to do this. That's why I am asking here. I hope this explains why I am posting to this forum.
Thanks
Steve

Probably not. OE, however, is likely using Outlook's Contacts folder to
store its data.

Sorry, this simply can't be true. If you delete all the contacts from
Outlook Express, how can there be anything there for Outlook to get?
