outlook express and OE

I have a new windows xp computer. When I receive e-mails
sometimes I get the following message: "OE has removed
access to the following unsafe attachment from your
mail."I don't want unsafe attchments but it is also not
letting safe attachments thru. At work I have sent tried
to send word document tru e-mail to my home computer.
And I receive this message. I can not opet these
attachments. What is the OE and how can I adjust the
settings so I can receive attachments that I want.

Go to tools/options/security and remove the check mark by do not allow an
attachment to be saved or opened that could potentially have a virus.

Outlook doesn't know what has a virus and what doesn't. Get yourself a good
virus scanner. Many free ones can be found on the web. I use the free AVG
from Grisoft. http://www.grisoft.com . It comes with free updates.
