Outlook Express Compatibility

What do I need to do, or create to make my Outlook
Contacts usable with Outlook Express? I remember reading
somewhere that you first have to create an address book.
Is this correct, if so, how is it done. Of, course, if
this isn't correct, how can I share the email addresses in
my Outlook Contacts folder with my Outlook Express program?

The first thing you must do is post your Outlook version and, if earlier
than Outlook 2002, your mail support mode as well.

I need to do the same. Copy my Outlook contacts to Outlook
Express. Outlook is 2002 and Express is version 6. Also,
where does Outlook store its files? Can I ask it to store
them where I want?

Outlook 2002 has no such ability. Only Outlook 98/2000 in IMO mode had that
feature. You have to use a reg hack to get OE to use Outlook 2002's Contacts
Folder:

Sorry, my mistake. The question was where does Outlook
Express store its files. Also, the CSV method does not
seem to work for me. I get an error during the import
session. It understands every line as one field and not as
series of fields. I tried it with both the DOS and Windows
CSVs. Any other methods available? Like exporting the
Outlook Contacts folder to a WAB or PAB file?

All your Outlook data is stored in your Personal Folders file (PST file)
unless you are running against Exchange Server. OE cannot import Contacts
from Outlook. You would have to export your Contacts Folder to a CSV file,
and import that into OE.

Nope. CSV is your only option.
This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
