I have encountered a problem and I was wondering whether this was a known
problem with OE.
Perhaps because of my familiarity with UNIX I have made a number of folders
on my second hard drive appear to be under My Documents by defining
shortcuts to them. With most applications when I go to open a file and
double click on one of these shortcuts the file open dialog opens the actual
folder and I can proceed down the folder hierarchy to the file I am looking
for. However with OE when I am looking for a file to attach to an outgoing
message and I double click on the folder shortcut I get "foldername.lnk" as
the attachment. I presume the same thing would happen if the shortcut was
to a specific file. So for OE I have to remember to always go to the file I
am looking for via the hard-drive, rather than by the shortcut. This is
annoying.
