Outlook Express e-mail attachment problem

My computer (e-machines 500ix w/Windows 98 2nd edition) has just now
started to show the text of an outgoing e-mail also as an attachment. A
setting in the e-mail problem must have been changed. How and where do I
find this to change it back?
