Outlook Express- Incoming Server keeps changing

N

Nickola

The main identity on my OE account keeps reverting to an unknown server.

The incoming server keeps coming up 127.0.0.1.

I change it to "mail.comcast.net" and I can get in until the next time I
boot up, then it reverts back.

I've hit apply each time, Comcast is no help.

Anyone have any ideas???

Thank you

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Hint: It is your AV or firewall doing this.

This is being caused by your anti-virus or an anti-spam program, not
Outlook Express.

Thanks for the link,

I did not find any groups related to Outlook Express or Internet Explorer.

They're not listed on the right toolbar.

Thank you, but this is a "new" situation.

I have not added any additional spam or virus software.

Are they ways around it???

Thanks
