Outlook Express Newsgroup download limits

I'm not to savvey in the PC world so please have patience while reading my
description below.
In some of the high use newsgroups, posters post messages in multiple parts.
parts. These parts are referred to as headers. A group of headers that are
part of the same message can be highlighted, then right clicked, combined and
downloaded. the end result is a single file that is the result of the
combined headers. Multiple part counts can at times run into the 1000's, for
example an one posted file may contain 1000 parts this is caused by a limit
of how large the individual header can be. I have found that OE 6.0 appears
to have a limit as to the number of headers it can combine and decode. for
example the multiple part posting is 1000headers, you can highlight 1000
headers and you can then right click, combine and decode them but when the
process of downloading the headers reaches about 512headers the process
stops. the result is only part of the toal file. which is about 105mb in
size. If you then highlight header 513 of 1000 to 1000 of 1000 you can again
right click and select combine and decode and they will download and can be
saved as a single file albeit that it is useless as there is no actual start
and the extension is unknown. If you now decide to highlight all 1000 headers
of the ones you have already downloaded, right click and combine and decode
the process does begin and you can watch the count up to around 512 after
that it jumps in a couple of steps to 1000 and then another window pops up to
save or open the file. the problem is the file size is still around 105mb
when it now shoud be around 200mb.
It appears that there is a preset limit in the number of headers that can be
downloaded. My question is, How do you get rid of the limit.
Please help.

For Outlook Express support, you'll want to ask in the
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup. You also might want to
try formatting your question with some paragraphs to make it more readable.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/newsgroups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server).

OE is not renowned for its inherent Bibary functions. You would be far
better off using a dedicated Binary news reader.

Have a look here:
