Windows XP Home Edition
with Outlook 2002 SP3 for mail services
and Outlook Express 6 for News
When I am browsing my news folders for interesting subjects I
occationally experience what appears to be OE in a hard loop
(100% CPU and not responding) on moving from one folder to
the next.
So far I have not found any other way out of this than to kill OE
(from the task manager or by repeatedly clicking the close icon)
and restart it (from Outlook > View > Go To > News).
I keep all my products fully updated and to my knowledge have
a system free of viruses and trojans etc.
It seems to be a system in that this loop when it is entered very
often is entered in response to me leaving one particular news
folder for the next. However, I have not been able to notice
anything peculiar with either the folder I am leaving or the folder
I am entering.
Suggestions anyone?
regards Sven
