outlook express - opening attachment

when i open the attachment i get more than just the image displayed in
picture viewer. ...i get random pix from politicians to porn...if i save the
attachment to my desktop and open it, it opens fine....i have scanned the
machine with a number of tools and cannot find a virus, trojan or worm...it
is not the display viewer i am using as i can change and it still will not
open correctly in outlook....i have insured that windows update says we have
most current of what we need...

any ideas?

You should post this question down the hall in the Outlook Express newsgroup
- that's where the OE experts hang out. This group is for Outlook from the
Microsoft Office suite and it's a totally different product.
