Twice now, Norton Anti-Virus has displayed a warning that it has detected
and delted the MHTMLRedir.Exploit virus on my computer. I don't know what is
causing this to happen, and I don't know if this virus will do any harm. All
I am doing is browsing the web and then all the sudden a virus alert message
appears. A full system scan has been run and nothing has been found. On the
alert message a link was provided to a patch on the Microsoft page that I
could download. I am referred to the Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-013
page. The only patch I can download is for Outlook Express. I have
determined that the Outlook Express version that I have is version 6. I
downloaded the patch and tried to install it only to receive an error
message that says Outlook Express 6 is requires to be installed. This makes
no sense because obviously Outlook Express 6 IS installed. Here are my
questions: what I can do to stop getting this virus alert? How can I install
this patch that is supposed to be for Outlook Express 6?
