Outlook Express Question

JC

I have a friend who replies to my emails sent from Hotmail and all I get is
illegible script like this: ÿþ< tl :>iahtB>sp s ps>s>sT

The person apparently simply is simply replying from an Outlook Express
account and using the Rich Text option in which the email is received.

Your suggestions as to what I might do to decipher the garbage or what might
be causing this phenomenon would be much appreciated.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, JC asked:

Rich Text is only supported by Microsoft email clients. Ask your friend
to use HTML instead of RTF.

Pat,

In Outlook Express, HTML is called Rich Text (erroneously!).

Thanks for the correction. (I should not try to answer questions about a
product I know nothing about...)
