outlook express spellcheck

I have outlook express 6. My spellcheck is not
highlighted for my use. How do I enable my spellcheck?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have any Microsoft Office Programs installed? Spellcheck is only
enabled if you have an Office program such as Word installed.

That's embarrassing. I've been telling ng posters for years to use their
OE spell checker. Sometimes I even gave instructions. I didn't know you
had to have Word (or something) to make it happen.

Anyway, OP's choices are to..
get some MS Office app with a SC;
change newsreader/mail programs to one with a SC;
if you have Star Office (or some other WP), cut and paste to Star,
spell check, and then cut and paste back to OE;
or get some add-on spell checker (I haven't tried any of these; all I
did was find them).
