Outlook express

I recently moved from Washington state where I was using Comcast and was able
to use Outlook express. Now in moving to Green Valley, Az and having to use
Cox I have had alot of trouble getting my Outlook express to work. Currently
the sign in window keeps popping up which I would like to stop. Second, when
I send something, and I was just recently able to receive an email I sent to
my hotmail address, I get the message that my email was not sent and then I
get the error message......so if anyone can help me I say thanks in advance.

Is this Outlook Express for the Mac or a PC? This is a Mac Office list.

This applies to both platforms:

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

I'm trying to use Outlook on PC,,,,,I didn't realize I was in the Mac part.
I'll go to the Microssoft site...thanks.
