outlook express

when i try to send or receive a message - outlook express
shuts off my internet modem service.

Everything else on on pc works fine - i can go to verizon
email to get and receive mail just fine.

I was going to reinstall microsoft internet exployer but
it says i already have the latest version and it wont
install

Gary,
Go to tools-accounts in outlook express. Click on the mail tab. Click
on your email account, and choose properties.Click on the connection tab,
and choose LAN(Local Area network). Just make sure you are connected before
opening outlook express. This should stop disconnecting you.
