Outlook Express

When I try to close Outlook Express 6.0 it tries to Compact Folder Files and
locks up. The only way I can close it is to Ctr,Dlt and end-task.What can I
do to stop this?

in the Windows Outlook Express newsgroup. I've crossposted and set followups
