I have just done a clean load (format new SATA HDD) of XP Pro (SP2c) on a P4
machine.
Next, after downloading all the update stuff from microsoft, I loaded my
trusty old Office 97 with no problems and then attempted to load my Outlook
98 upgrade.
Immediately, after accepting the license agreement (even before I would get
to where I enter the license key), I get the following error message:
"Outlook 98 Active Setup . . . Setup was unable to download all the required
components for this installation. The Internet is likely busy. Please try
Setup again later and try Smart Recovery to continue downloading."
Now, I didn't know my Outlook 98 upgrade required Internet connectivity. I
can find no information in this forum or via google to address this error
message.
Anyone who knows how to get around this, please respond.
Thanks,
machine.
