Outlook fails to connect to POP server and recognize existing email accounts...

I have 2 new iMacs running OS X. I have set up Outlook Express on these
systems and successfully established 3 email accounts on each. Everything
worked fine for about a month and then one day all three accounts on one
system started failing to connect to the POP server.

If I copy these Identities to another iMac running 9.2 the accounts connect
to the POP server and download all email.

Has anyone else experienced any similar problems?
