I am running MS Office XP. Periodically, Outlook is unresponsive and does
not open with emails. I get no error message, but just a big screen with
"Microsoft Outlook (Not Responding)" in the upper right corner.
The screen just hangs there until I close Outlook. After this happens
several times, I finally get the message that asks me if I want to open in
Safe Mode. If I say YES, I still get the hanging screen (Not Responding).
Finally I am asked if I want "Detect and Repair" in which case I say YES.
After a minute or so, I am told that Outlook has been repaired, but Outlook
still hangs when I try to open the app.
I'm guessing I probably have too many emails, but I'm not sure what to do at
this point. Usually after several attempts, I can finally get Outlook to
open, but this time it seems to be dead in the water.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
